About CfS

Chess for Schools is a partnership established in 2009 to provide clubs and classes for primary and secondary schools in both the state and private sectors.

We are experienced tutors who specialise in teaching and coaching children and young people starting at year 2 and older.

We operate in Hampshire, Surrey, Berkshire and Buckinghamshire and are starting new clubs and classes according to demand.

If you represent a school that would like to introduce chess to your school then we’d love to hear from you.

If you are a young player then we have some recommendations for you also.

Likewise if you are a parent of a child at a school without lessons or a club then we’d like to help you.

If you are keen to improve yourself or your child then we can provide private tuition.

n.b. We would like to make it clear that we are not directly connected with the excellent Chess in Schools and Communities project neither do we have any connection with a failed (but well motivated) ECF project to supply free chess sets to all primary schools in England.
